💜 “Prayers for Raedyn”: A Mother’s Fight Through Fear, Seizures, and Hope 💜.C2

There are moments in life that change everything in an instant—and for one mother, that moment came with a fall.

Raedyn, her sweet boy, fell and hit his head on Saturday. At first, it didn’t seem like the worst-case scenario. He recovered quickly, and by that night, he was back to his baseline—smiling, stable, and giving his family a sense of relief. It felt like they had escaped something serious.

But by the next morning, something wasn’t right.

Raedyn was lethargic, quieter than usual, a little “off.” It was subtle at first—the kind of change only a parent would immediately notice. As the day went on, he seemed to perk up, giving hope that maybe it was just temporary. Maybe everything was okay.

But then came the next morning.

And everything changed.

His mother tried to wake him—but she couldn’t.

Raedyn was unresponsive, unable to stay upright, his body falling over as if it couldn’t hold itself together. His eyes couldn’t focus. His speech was slurred and difficult. And then something even more alarming happened—he began bleeding slightly from his trach.

In that moment, instinct took over.

No hesitation. No second guessing.

She rushed him to the nearest emergency room.

Every parent knows that feeling—the racing heart, the fear that something is seriously wrong, the desperate need for answers. In the ER, time feels like it slows down and speeds up all at once. Every second matters, yet every minute feels endless.

Doctors moved quickly.

A CT scan was performed to rule out the most terrifying possibility—a brain bleed. And thankfully, that possibility was ruled out. A small breath of relief in an otherwise overwhelming situation.

But the uncertainty didn’t end there.

Given Raedyn’s medical history and condition, doctors decided it was best to transfer him to his home hospital, where his specialized team could take over. That transition brought both anxiety and comfort—fear of the unknown, but trust in the people who knew him best.

Once they arrived, the conversations began.

Initial concerns from the first hospital suggested a possible small skull fracture. Words no parent ever wants to hear. But after careful evaluation, Raedyn’s neurosurgery team provided a different perspective—what appeared concerning was actually related to prior surgical remodeling.

Not a new fracture.

Not new trauma.

Just part of his past medical journey.

“Praise Jesus,” his mother shared—a moment of gratitude in the middle of chaos.

But the hardest part was still unfolding.

Raedyn began experiencing seizures.

His eyes would shake rapidly, then lock in an upward position. His body would react in ways he couldn’t control. And then came the cries—screaming that his head hurt. The kind of pain no child should have to feel, and no parent should have to witness.

Seizures are unpredictable.

Terrifying.

And deeply exhausting—for both the child and the family watching it happen.

The medical team worked quickly, trying to understand what was triggering these episodes. Was it related to the fall? His condition? Medication changes? At that moment, there were more questions than answers.

But there was action.

During his last seizure, doctors made the decision to increase his medication. And since then—there have been no additional seizures. A fragile but powerful moment of hope.

Now, Raedyn has been admitted to his home hospital floor, where he will be closely monitored throughout the night. Every movement, every response, every change will be watched carefully. Tomorrow morning, he will undergo an MRI to provide deeper insight into what’s happening inside his body.

The waiting continues.

But so does the faith.

Through every update, one thing remains constant—his mother’s strength. Even in fear, even in exhaustion, even in uncertainty, she continues to advocate, to comfort, to love.

And she continues to ask for something simple, yet powerful:

Prayers.

Because in moments like this, community matters. Support matters. Love matters. Whether through messages, thoughts, or prayers—every bit of strength sent their way becomes part of the fight.

Raedyn is not just a patient.

He is a boy who is loved beyond words.

He is a fighter.

And right now, he is facing one of the hardest battles yet.

So as he rests tonight, surrounded by monitors, machines, and the quiet hope of recovery, one question stays in the hearts of everyone following his story:

Will tomorrow bring the answers—and the healing—this brave little boy so desperately needs? 💜
