Chrissy Teigen, the famous model and chef, is facing intense backlash after revealing her quirky late-night eating habit on Netflix’s Dinner Time Live. During the September 2025 broadcast, Teigen admitted she often wakes up at 1 a.m. due to hunger, sometimes asking her husband, singer John Legend, to make her a ham and cheese sandwich.
“I take my nighttime medications at 10 p.m., and then I wake up again at 1 a.m., I place my order, it gets to me by 2, I eat it by 2:15, and then I go back to bed,” Teigen shared. “This happens every night without fail. I’m not kidding.” She described Legend as a “robot” who immediately gets up to fulfill her request: “He’s like, ‘Alright, sandwich time,’ then he comes back and [goes immediately back to bed].”
The clip from the show quickly went viral on TikTok, drawing thousands of negative comments. Many users called Teigen “awful” and “insufferable.” One comment read: “How mean to wake your husband up just to get you food.” Another stated: “That’s rude. She woke him up every night for a sandwich and yet called him a robot! That’s not nice.”
This isn’t the first time Teigen has sparked controversy. Recently, she was mocked for forgetting her children’s birthdays and needing to tattoo their birth dates on her arm to remember. Despite this, Teigen and Legend, married since 2013 and parents to four children, remain one of entertainment’s prominent couples.
The online reaction highlights a divide: some defend it as a private marital quirk, but most view flaunting this habit as disrespectful.
