A young boy is missing, and time matters more than ever.
Santiago Emilio Ramirez, a 13-year-old from Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, has been reported missing since April 2026. What should have been an ordinary morning quickly turned into a frightening situation. At approximately 10:55 AM, Santiago was last seen leaving his apartment at Hilton Head Gardens on foot — and he hasn’t been seen since.
Since that moment, there have been no confirmed updates about his whereabouts, and concern for his safety continues to grow.
At the time he disappeared, Santiago was wearing a black hoodie and gray pants. He is described as approximately 5’5” tall, weighing around 130 pounds, with black shoulder-length hair and brown eyes. These details may seem simple, but they are incredibly important — they could help someone recognize him in a crowd, on the street, or even far from where he was last seen.
Authorities have reported Santiago as a runaway. However, that does NOT mean he is safe. In many cases, children who leave on their own still face serious risks — from dangerous situations, harmful environments, or individuals who may take advantage of them. That is why law enforcement is treating this case with urgency and actively searching for him.
